Postal and philatelic office
The Pontifical Postal Service is an office associated with the governmental and cultural life of the Pontifical Imperial State of Rome-Ruthenia. It preserves the postal and philatelic expression of the Church and State through official designs, commemorative issues, and related records.
Its work is primarily institutional, commemorative, and cultural. Postal material may mark events, persons, anniversaries, or elements of the Roman-Ruthenian patrimony. Such issues also provide a compact visual record of the identity and history of the Apostolic See.
The Postal Service is listed among the offices of the Patriarchal Curia and works within the administrative authority established by the Supreme Pontiff.
