Pledge of a Noble Christian Knight
As a member of the Nobility of the Church, I pledge myself to live a life of Christian Chivalry — grounded in faith, honor, and service. I shall strive daily, by the grace of God, to be:
- Honorable in word and deed
- Virtuous in character and conduct
- Just in judgment and merciful in heart
- Charitable to the poor, the suffering, and the stranger
- Loyal to Christ, His Church, my brethren, and the mission entrusted to me
- Kind and courteous, even to the least of these
- Truthful and faithful, keeping my word as my bond
- Modest in pride, and generous in spirit
I accept willingly the sacred burden of noblesse oblige — that those who have received dignity must also act with dignity, and extend charity, protection, and moral leadership to all.
The Seven Knightly Virtues
The noble soul is shaped by these enduring virtues, which define the knightly path in both word and action:
Courage
Not the absence of fear, but the strength to do what is right — especially when it is hard, unrecognized, or thankless.Justice
To uphold righteousness in all matters; to deal fairly, defend the weak, and not turn aside from truth for personal gain.Mercy
To act not in cruelty or vengeance, but with compassion and forgiveness, reflecting the mercy of Christ Himself.Generosity
To give freely of one’s time, gifts, and resources in service to the Church, to one’s fellow man, and to the greater good.Faith
To remain steadfast in the Christian faith, and to keep sacred one’s oaths and commitments, no matter the trial.Nobility
To uphold one’s calling with dignity, humility, and integrity — living not for self-glory, but as a reflection of the Gospel.Hope
To carry the light of Christ into dark places, and to encourage others by word, presence, and joyful trust in God’s providence.The Rule of the Christian Knight
A Knight of the Church shall:
- Pray daily and faithfully fulfill his religious duties.
- Be obedient to the Church, faithful to Christ, and respectful of other faiths where charity demands.
- Defend truth, protect the innocent, and stand against evil with humility and conviction.
- Remain loyal to his fellow knights, his family, his superiors, his lawful nation, and to the Church above all nations.
- Live a life of moral uprightness, physical self-discipline, and spiritual vigilance.
- Serve the poor and vulnerable without expectation of praise or reward.
- Be a peacemaker, a man of courage, and a builder of Christian civilization.
Let the knight be known not by his clothing, title, or estate, but by the chivalry of his soul and the faithfulness of his witness.
