The Pontifical Apostolic Library is a library and research institution serving the United Roman-Ruthenian Church and its cultural patrimony.
Mission
The Library supports theological, historical, canonical, liturgical, genealogical, and cultural study. It preserves and organizes publications and reference material relevant to the Church’s Eastern and Western inheritances.
Relationship to the archives
Libraries principally organize published and collected works for consultation, while archives preserve unique institutional records in their original context. The Pontifical Apostolic Library and Stephenian Archives therefore have complementary roles.
