The Pontifical Georgian College is the principal theological seminary of the United Roman-Ruthenian Church. Its mission is the formation of clergy and the advancement of theological and ecclesiastical learning.

Origins

The institution traces its foundation to 1987, when Saint Edwin Caudill established Saint George’s School of Theology. Its later development reflects the Church’s Eastern and Western patrimony and its need for accessible formation across geographic boundaries.

Education

The College provides church-based theological education and formation, including programs delivered through distance and online methods. Formation concerns not only academic study but also liturgical practice, spirituality, pastoral responsibility, and canonical discipline.
