The Most Holy Pontifical Orders of Christ and the Eagle is the highest honor bestowed by the modern Roman-Ruthenian Church and State. It is a joint honor of the Supreme Roman-Ruthenian Aquiline Order of Christ and the Pontifical Order of the Eagle as hereditary bailiff. It is exclusively given to nobles of the rank of Count or above.

Grand Dukes of Rome-Ruthenia receive the order on their 18th birthday, along with the Order of Sts. George and Olga. Since 2023, the rank of Bailiff of the Pontifical Order of the Eagle is no longer conferred independently, but only as a secondary honor accompanying the Aquiline Order of Christ. Those who hold the Bailiff rank independently (heirs to the Knights of Christ) are known as Bailiffs of Honour.

Recipients wear the large cross of the order from a collar chain and the Greater Eagle of the Pontifical Order of the Eagle from its chain or from a solid red ribbon around the neck. The small cross is worn on a medium blue ribbon sash. The order uses two ribbon colors, representing Christ (red) and the Blessed Theotokos (blue), with the sash evoking the imagery of the Holy Mother of God and the infant Christ.
