The Pontifical Order of Merit is a prestigious decoration awarded by the United Roman-Ruthenian Church and the Pontifical Imperial State. It recognizes exceptional accomplishments and is given at the personal discretion of the Pope of Rome-Ruthenia. This award is considered one of the most exclusive in the world, with membership limited to the Supreme Pontiff and no more than ten living members. The post-nominal letters used are "POM" in English and Italian.
